GabbyValedictorian: Gabby Primrose

Valedictorian Gabriella Primrose has a remarkable cumulative grade point average of 99.518% and will graduate high school with 21 college credits. Gabriella is a hard-working student, athlete, and musician. She competes in several events on the indoor and outdoor Track & Field teams, including high jump, long jump, triple jump, hurdles and several running events. She also participated in volleyball and cross-country. Gabriella plays flute and tenor saxophone in Clyde-Savannah’s band and jazz band and sings in our chorus and select choir. She has been in ensemble and played lead roles in our musicals for three years as well as serving as President of Musical Club. Additionally, Gabriella is Secretary of the National Honor Society, and is a member of Student Council, Masterminds, Drama Club, and a reporter and anchor for Eagle News Network.

Gabriella has earned numerous academic awards while at Clyde-Savannah.  She has been on Principal’s Honor Roll for all quarters and earned the designation of Special Honors for holding an academic average over 100 for several quarters.  She has also been recognized by the Daughters of the American Revolution, winning the Good Citizen Award.Upon graduation from Clyde-Savannah High School, Gabriella will attend Nazareth University to pursue a degree in Music Therapy. She plans to continue singing and playing music in college. She credits her grandma Linda Tyler with influencing her to go into music, and her grandpa Jeremy Tyler who encouraged her. Gabriella resides with her proud parents Nathan and Joyce, and siblings Elijah and Jazmine Primrose and Xavier Cruz, as well as Patience VanAmburg in Clyde who have all supported her journey to graduation.

leahSalutatorian: Leah Yonge

Salutatorian Leah Yonge has a remarkable cumulative grade point average of 99.345% and will graduate high school with 24 college credits. Leah is a bright, proactive, curious, and intrinsically motivated student.

Leah takes the lead in several extracurricular activities at our school and in our community. She loves to run and has been on our cross-country, indoor, and outdoor track teams since freshman year. She also plays the flute in our band and participates in our musical every year. Leah was elected Secretary of Student Council in 10th grade, Vice President in 11th grade, and President in 12th grade. She is a member of GSA and a much-appreciated lifeguard. She is also responsible for various roles on our Eagle News Network including recording, directing, interviewing, and anchoring the program. Outside of school Leah has participated in Girl Scouts since she was ten years old and works part-time at Wendy’s in Waterloo.

Leah has earned numerous academic awards while at Clyde-Savannah.  She has been on Principal’s Honor Roll throughout every year she has been at Clyde-Savannah. Upon graduation from Clyde-Savannah High School, Leah will attend Cornell University to study Animal Science. Her goal is to become a veterinarian to continue helping animals in need. Leah resides with her proud parents Catherine and Andrew Foss, and grandfather James Schenk in Clyde.
