Dear School Community,
We are writing to inform you that a vacancy has arisen on the School Board as a result of the resignation of Nicole Malbone.
The Board of Education has deliberated on how best to proceed in filling this important position, and after careful consideration, it has been decided that the vacancy will be filled through an appointment process. The appointed individual will serve on the Board for the remainder of the 2023-2024 school year.
This letter serves as an invitation to members of our community who are interested in contributing to the growth and success of our school district. If you or someone you know is passionate about education and community service, we encourage you to consider applying for this position.
Eligibility Requirements
School board members must be a U.S. citizen, at least 18 years old, qualified voters in the school district and be able to read and write. They must be residents of the district continuously for one year. They cannot be employed by the board on which they serve or live in the same household with a family member who is also a member of the same school board.
To express your interest, please submit a letter of interest along with the completed Board of Education Candidate Form to the District Clerk no later than Monday, November 27, 2003. The candidate form can be obtained from the school district office or downloaded by clicking here.
We believe that a diverse and engaged Board is crucial to the success of our school district. We welcome applicants from all backgrounds and experiences to ensure a broad representation of our community's perspectives.The Board of Education will review all applications and conduct interviews with potential candidates.
